Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions
Will images be the same quality as in the PDF?
Yes, we extract at the quality embedded in the PDF. If originals were compressed when creating the PDF, that's the quality available.
Can I extract images from scanned PDFs?
Scanned PDFs contain page images. You can extract these, but they're full pages, not individual photos within the page.
What formats can I save images as?
PNG, JPG, TIFF, or the original embedded format. PNG is lossless; JPG is smaller but may reduce quality.
Are vector graphics extracted?
Raster images are extracted. Vector graphics remain in the PDF format. Use PDF to SVG tools for vectors.
How are images named?
Images are named sequentially (image_001.png, image_002.png, etc.) by default. Page numbers can be included.
Is there a limit on images?
No limit. Extract all images from your document regardless of count.
