By accessing or using iReadPDF ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use our Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Service Description
iReadPDF provides PDF editing, conversion, and management tools through web-based applications. Our services include over 50 PDF tools and AI-powered features, including but not limited to:
- PDF viewing, editing, and annotation
- PDF conversion (to/from various formats)
- PDF merging, splitting, and organization
- PDF compression and optimization
- PDF security features (password protection, signatures)
- AI-powered document analysis and processing
Browser-Based Processing: All PDF processing happens entirely in your browser using client-side technologies. Your files are never uploaded to our servers for processing.
3. User Accounts
Some features may require you to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided is inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, or if you violate these Terms.
4. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service responsibly and legally. You must NOT:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
- Process documents that you do not have the right to access or modify
- Upload, process, or distribute malicious files, viruses, or other harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our express permission
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation
- Process documents containing illegal content, including child exploitation material
- Violate the intellectual property rights of others
- Use the Service to send spam, chain letters, or other unsolicited communications
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Our Intellectual Property: The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of iReadPDF and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.
Your Content: You retain all rights to your documents and content. We do not claim any ownership rights to your content. By using the Service, you grant us only the limited rights necessary to provide the Service (which, given our browser-based processing, requires no server-side access to your files).
Feedback: If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use such feedback for any purpose.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Free and Premium Services: iReadPDF offers both free and premium (paid) subscription plans. Free services may have limitations on features or usage.
Billing: Premium subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel it before the renewal date.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Refunds: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new premium subscriptions. After 30 days, payments are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.
Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your complete payment information on our servers.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is critically important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Key points include:
- Browser-Based Processing: All PDF files are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers
- Minimal Data Collection: We collect only essential data needed to provide the Service

- Your Rights: You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data

8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL IREADPDF, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
- Loss or corruption of your documents (though this is mitigated by our local processing approach)
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE PAST TWELVE (12) MONTHS, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.
We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location; (b) any errors or defects will be corrected; (c) the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or (d) the results of using the Service will meet your requirements.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless iReadPDF, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of any rights of a third party
- Any content you submit to or through the Service
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Jurisdiction: Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware, and you hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in such courts.
International Users: If you access the Service from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws. However, we strive to comply with applicable international data protection laws, including GDPR for EU users and other regional privacy regulations.
12. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution: Before filing any legal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@ireadpdf.com. We will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days.
Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be finally settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Delaware, USA, and the arbitral decision may be enforced in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class Action Waiver: YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
Exceptions: Nothing in this section shall prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property infringement or misappropriation.

iReadPDF is accessible worldwide. We are committed to complying with applicable data protection regulations in the regions where we operate:

Service Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
Terms Modifications: We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) or by posting a notice on our website prior to the changes becoming effective.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.
16. Severability and Waiver
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced to the fullest extent under law.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by us.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any other legal notices or agreements published by us on the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and iReadPDF regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
